Jim brings extensive experience to LightHawk as both an aviator and a high-tech entrepreneur. He has founded and grown various companies, ranging from pharmaceutical clinical trials to airline data communications and has worked as a consultant to various startup companies in the clean energy and health technology sectors. Jim is a seasoned pilot, with nearly 50 years of flying experience, including eight years piloting C-130s for the USAF with service in Vietnam and the Reserves. While pursuing his graduate studies, Jim taught flying at Lebanon, NH Regional Airport and has owned several twin-engine Piper Aztecs over the years. Jim holds an AB from Dartmouth, BE and ME degrees from Thayer School of Engineering, and an MBA from Amos Tuck School of Business. Apart from spending time with his family, he finds his greatest joy in hiking and rock climbing in the White Mountains, sailing along the Maine coast and offshore, scuba diving, and whenever possible, cross-country skiing.
